Combined 6- and 12-String Magic
With its specially designed Super-Shallow composite body—a favorite of stage performers—Ovation’s Celebrity doubleneck combines 6- and 12-string guitars into a single, easy-to-play instrument. With a figured maple top and matched, lightweight bracing that’s designed to enhance punch and projection, this guitar covers all the bases. Ovation’s pioneering multi-soundhole design enhances string vibration and sustain by improving soundboard efficiency. Both slim necks are easy to play, and twin cutaways insure easy access to the either fretboard. The OP-24+ preamp has 3-band EQ with the option to select 400 Hz or 1 kHz as the middle-band frequency, and a Pre-Shape circuit reduces rumble from frequencies below 40 Hz that can trigger feedback. A 3-way toggle switch allows players to quickly shift between 6- to 12-string pickups, or use a combination of both.
Super Shallow Bowl
Ovation’s slim Super-Shallow bowl delivers a clear acoustic sound while providing the low-profile comfort of an electric guitar. Offering extremely durable construction, this Lyrachord® composite bowl weighs 33% less than its deeper siblings. Perfectly suited for studio or stage use, guitars equipped with a Super-Shallow body retain the outstanding string-to-string balance of original Ovation designs. Plugged in, Super-Shallow models produce ample volume for any venue. With no hard edges to dig into your rib cage, this easy-to-hold body is also ideal for younger players or smaller guitarists.
OP-24+
Offering whisper-quiet audio circuitry with very low distortion, the OP-24+ features 3-band EQ with a bypass switch, a Mid-Shift control for selecting a midrange center frequency of either 400 Hz or 1 kHz, a Pre-Shape circuit for boosting bass and treble response while cutting rumble-prone frequencies below 40 Hz, and a battery status light. To provide complete control over the high-output preamp signal, the OP-24+ has a custom-taper volume slider.
