Handcrafted in Ovation’s flagship workshop in New Hartford, Connecticut, the VXT hybrid is designed to satisfy both electric and acoustic guitarists. Two Seymour Duncan SP90 soapbar pickups provide vibey rock and blues tones that cut through the mix. To generate acoustic realism, the VXT employs Ovation’s acclaimed VIP virtual microphone imaging preamp, which offers players access to a natural, studio-quality acoustic sound. The Fishman Power Bridge provides realistic acoustic timbres without piezo distortion. In both the electric and acoustic modes, the VXT’s chambered Honduras mahogany body provides rich depth without a trace of feedback—even at high stage volumes—and its solid-spruce top adds the sparkle and dynamics players demand from fine acoustic instruments. This versatile and toneful VXT is finished with ultra-thin textured enamel.
