Gene grew up in a small town in the Midwest and started playing at eleven years old. He was in his first professional band by the age of 19 was recruited by four professional musicians in his home town to be the front man in their new band. By 1980 he went out as a solo artist and released his first album "Out of the Clouds" wtih the help of two dedicated believer's fiinancing and two musicans from his first band.
After starting one band and joining another in 1983, he decided to start travelling. He raised a small amount of money, packed up what musical equipment he had in a 1964 Chevy Bel Air and took off to Los Angeles. After bouncing around a while he ended up in New Mexico where he found a home and a large following of fans that still keep in touch with him today and play his music. He released two albums there, "Fear oif Falling and "Miracle". They both sold well although "Miracle" has survived the best as it was released on CD and is to date the best quaility of the collection.
After opening for several famous artists including Jethro Tull and many others, he moved to Seattle in hopes to make a change in his life. After playing over 3000 shows from 1977-2000, he decided not to pursue any more live music. However, these days his mind is more open to playing out if the right circumstances were to arise.
He operates his own small studio and records and produces his music and even now is working on his fourth album. It is his hope to be an Internet presence for people who want to hear music that explores emotional depth. He plays and sings all of his own tracks and sometimes has his daughter come in to sing harmonies.
