About Matthew Eldridge

I should be a hometown hero for Ovation because I've been playing Ovation guitars since January 19,1997. My Ovations have shared the stage with a number of national acts back in the late 90's and early 2000's. Later on, they would be responsible for leading young people in contemporary rock worship all over the southeast for the next number of years. On the side, my Ovations have played at some of the best singer-songwriter venues in all of Atlanta, including Eddie's Attic, The Vinyl, and Smith's Olde Bar.

Currently, My Ovations have become movie stars, being featured in a number of TV shows and movies filmed in Atlanta. My beautiful sunburst Ovations have shown their faces in The Vampire Diaries on the CW, Universal Pictures' The Change Up, Starring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman, and will have a small spot in What to Expect When Expecting, a movie starring Chris Rock, Jennifer Lopez, and Cameron Diaz.

The most recent adventure was entering a 10 week music shoot-out competition at the Celtic, where my Ovations and I placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd every week we entered out of 25 people. I always get compliments on my Ovations--but I need another one. My Ovations have lived a fun, but hard life. Both are cracked. Time for another one.
