A Minor Pentatonic

Share

In this guitar lesson Eric Manthy teaches you a very simple scale that a lot rock and blues musician used to come up with different solos and licks: the A minor pentatonic scale.  Just to be clear, a pentatonic scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave.  It’s a simple scale but probably one of the most important and fundamental scales of them all.  There are no minor seconds and no tritones which means you can play any note in the a scale in any order or combination without clashing.  In other words, it’s a great scale for beginners who are looking to solo!
