In this guitar lesson Ed teaches you a technique called droning.  Droning allows you to play single notes on the guitar and still have a full sound behind those notes, almost like a second guitar playing rhythm behind your soloing, a very useful technique if your playing a solo gig and need to beef up your sound.  The technique is best achieved by playing in open tuning.  In this lesson we tune tune it to an open E5 chord.
