Glen Campbell Brings Grammy Crowd to their Feet
It was one for the books. Famed Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich wanted Glen Campbell to perform on the live telecast. Ehrlich had faith that the veteran Campbell would deliver a solid performance, Alzheimer’s and all. During rehearsals Glen struggled to remember lyrics, but Ehrlich held fast to his instincts. We should have known. When the chips were down, our old friend Glen strode out to viewing audience of 40 million, ignored the teleprompter and turned in the performance of signature song ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ that we are likely to remember him for.
