Reggae’s defining attribute as a genre, it can be argued, comes from its unique strumming pattern.  In this guitar lesson you’ll learn all about the the reggae strumming pattern.  A fairly simple technique, all you need to know are these two things:

1. Don’t let the chords ring out, dampen them using your palm.
2. Strum on the off-beats, 2 and 4.
