Ovation new TX series “D-Scale” is tuned a full step lower to D-G-C-F-A-D, creating a world of possibilities for open tunings.  Simply capo the 2nd fret and you’ve got a standard tuned acoustic – take off the capo and you’ll find a whole new instrument.  An extended scale length of 28 1/3” gives this guitar the voicing of a baritone with the playing ease of a standard 6-string.  The D2078TX-5 includes a solid spruce top with lightweight textured black finish and scalloped bracing for maximum top vibration and sustain.  Other notable features include a rock maple neck and contour body.  Powered by the OP Pro preamp mated with Ovation’s High Output Pickup to provide even string to string output with any gauge of string and open tuning.
