For those of you not lucky enough to have attended one of her L.A. area Ovation clinics, we would like to introduce you to the wonderful Nancy Sanchez.

Trying to describe Nancy is a challenge in that it’s difficult to know where to begin. Her singing, songwriting and guitar playing are equally stunning. She has the smooth and seasoned genius of a Billie Holliday, Sara Vaughn or Joni Mitchell while distinctive enough that you immediately recognize her on the radio. Did we mention she was only 24 years old?

Nancy came to us via KMC sales ace (and talent scout) Joseph Montoya who after hearing her immediately recruited her to do Ovation / iDea Preamp clinics in his West Coast territory, all of which were very successful (no small feat). That was well over a year ago. Since then she has released her first album “Nancy Sanchez”  to critical acclaim and been unsuccessfully recruited by other guitar companies.

Nancy’s guitar of choice is an Ovation 2773LX nylon string with an iDea preamp installed. The smaller classical neck suits her hybrid style and the iDea preamp delivers the great tone of a regular OpPro for her live performances while providing the creatively enhancing MP3 features that she has grown to depend on for capturing and recording song ideas.
