ADAMAS ROUND CORE
Roundwound strings have a core. Roundcore must be wound much more slowly. It is important that roundcore strings are not shortened before they are wound onto the machine head, but only after they have reached a basic tension through winding. Roundcore strings have a longer life span and offer a very pleasant playing feel due to the low string tension. In terms of sound, the roundcore is noticeable for its longer sustain (decay of the tone) and a balanced sound rich in overtones.
The legendary Adamas Phosphor Bronze strings, now as a nano-coated Nuova Coated version.
The special alloy with a higher copper content already ensures great sound, enormous flexibility and pronounced sustain. The additionally applied modern nano-plasma coating provides more sound quality, but is hardly noticeable due to its ultra-thin texture. The warm, rich and earthy tone speaks for itself.
In addition, the core wire is also coated. This protects the string perfectly against penetrating sweat, which promises additional durability.
Stably held by a solid brass ball end, Adamas Nuova Coated sound much fuller than conventional strings. The composite gauging makes them ideal for fast playing, but retains the rich sound expected from a quality acoustic instrument.
The Nuova Coated RC versions use a round wire as the string core instead of a hexagonal one. As a result, the winding lies fully against the core wire, which produces a longer sustain and a more balanced, overtone-rich sound.
The lower string tension with the same wire thickness in combination with the high-tech coating makes the playing feel enormously pleasant.
The Adamas Historic Reissue series includes strings for (electro)acoustic guitars and basses as well as for mandolins.
